Special kitty: Kitten Dinner: Pate - I use this with the kittens at about 4 weeks old. I use it in combination with kitten formula. I don't mix the two in the same dish.. as kittens seem turned off by this.  WalMart carries this brand.  I have also used blue diamond successfully once.  Tatersalad loved it when he as a kitten.  I couldn't get Troublesome to even try it.  Every cat is dfference and every one of them like different things.  Some Pate some No Pate. I have Kowlee who will only eat treats.  She spits up every thing else. 

PetAG's Milkreplacer plus isnt my first choice. KMR would be.  But I have used both many times successfully.  Also I'm going to add I prefer the dry over the premixed formula because kittens tend to get constipated regularly and you can help stabilize this a bit by using less powder, or if the kitten seem starving give more powder. Kittens take to both fairly easy when real young.  They are all packed with vitamins kittens need to grow big and strong.  Never forget though it's healthiest for the kitten to get at least 24 hours mothers milk.  The more the mothers milk they get the healthier they tend to stay in their over all lives.

We feed a mix of wet and dry.  Wet food holds more vitamins but dry is more filling. so we spilt the difference.  We use around 90 to 100 pounds of dry a week right now.  For kittens after about 4 weeks they can chew on a few pieces of dry to help them teeth.  It sooths them some.

I go through about 60 cans a week. Sometimes a little more if we find a hungry cat.  I find most cats I come across like the Pate but there are other cats I hear like the other types of foods as well. I suggest you try a few.  Right now in 2024 at my walmart it costs about .64¢ a can.  I've read that an adult cat should consume at least 1 can of cat food a day.  I can't afford to do this so supplament with dry foods.

I have a few cats like Kowlee this is all she can eat.  Temptations chicken or beef.  They are about 2 calories a piece so stay vigilant so they don't gain to much weight.

If you care for cats for any length of time you will need this in your arsenal.  Alot of cats get constipated pretty easy.  One drop for kittens and two drops for adults.  I use one drop in every other kitten bottle.  It just ensures the kitten is going to potty correctly and not have stomach aches and cry.
